In order to safeguard its participants, the league is now in
compliance with the Jake Snakenberg Youth Concussion Act that came into effect as of January
1, 2012. This Act requires all youth coaches in the league to complete an annual
concussion recognition education course. The Act also requires coaches to remove from play
any athlete who is suspected of having a concussion and the athlete is required to have written
authorization from a health care provider in order to return to the activity. For more
